Goals and Vision

A graphical tool designed to deploy the application written by Python language, the goals of this tool are

• Posted through the RSA encrypted Python script instead of Python source code;
• Deploy Python scripts to run on the machine without Python environment;
• Cross-publish; in a certain platform, developing applications using Python, And then publish to other platforms; not only pure Python scripts can be published or Module, you can also cross-post the C/C++ extension modules.

What can Pyshield 1.1.2 do?

Pyshield 1.1.2 can do that:
• Generate the install package. For Python script that is encrypted, rather than the direct release the source code.
• Transfer the main script written by Python to a binary file, and run on the machine without python installed.
• Support for Tcl/Tk/Tix, if your Python scripts using the Tcl/Tk/Tix Library, as long as you specify the version of these library, they wiill be installed in the user machine on the corresponding platform.
• Multi-platform support and cross-publish. Pyshield can run on Windows and Linux platform also supports cross-publish. In other words, you can developed under the Windows platform, then you can generate the installation package which can run on both Windows and Linxu by Pyshield; and vice versa, you can developed under Linux, and by using Pyshield to make the installation package running on Windows and Linux.

Python extension module currently aren't supportted in cross-publish mode by Pyshield 1.1.2.

Pyshield 1.1.2 Supported Python versions:

• Python 2.6
• Python 2.5
• Python 2.4
• Python 2.3

In other words, use the above version of Python written in a script, you can publish them on the machine without Python installed.
